the Gorgan Iranian Girls’ Awareness Workshop on Personal Hygiene and Menstrual Hygiene
It was a mother’s chat saying that it’s been two months that she couldn’t buy any detergent, washing her kids’ clothes with puddles, and washing the dishes with ashes; and now the shampoo has been finished for ten days !!!
This is a mother whose house is in Gorgan, which is a few streets away from my house and yours. A mother whose husband left the family and she lives with her five children and has a very limited time to work since her youngest is under one year old, and in the cold season it becomes even harder to find a job.
The breadwinner is now the eldest child. A 14-year-old boy hitting puberty …
